Many thanks to Loriana Pauli for sending Island Voices this new offering – a podcast she and fellow Uist-based students on the UHI BA in Applied Music made with the help of local poet Pauline Prior-Pitt. Originally broadcast by An Reidio (Link no longer available), we’re delighted to post the link here. It’s a nice mix of poetry and music, English and Gaelic. Archivist's note: An Reidio was a community-run automated loop automated service that broadcasted on 105.2 FM in the Uists and Benbecula, and was gradually phased out to evolve into Reidio Cheolais. The ultimate evolution of this community radio effort officially stepped into the spotlight on 20 January 2024, when Rèidio Cheòlais officially launched its 24/7 Gaelic digital broadcasting service
