Introduction to the UHI Archive Island Voices media collection catalogue
The media content for the UHI Archive Island Voices Multilingual Archive has been preserved in our repository and can also be accessed through the UHI catalogue for the collection.
The collection has been organised into series, which can be viewed individually when clicking on each entry in the sidebar on the right. The catalogue entry for each item within the collection links to the media, allowing it to be viewed in the browser.
Project videos
The project videos series list and display the videos which appear in each blog post or page. Click on the master file to view the video.
Transcripts
Most of the recordings in the collection have been transcribed, with the transcriptions placed online on the interactive Clilstore platform. The transcriptions in all of the Island Voices Clilstore units are collected here as individual PDF documents.
Project audio recordings
In the early stages of the Island Voices project extensive use was made of the now extinct Ipadio platform to place audio recordings online. The links to these recordings have been replaced with links to the original MP3 recordings, now preserved in the UHI Archive and listed in this series.
Papers
This series presents the reports, articles, and other publications referenced in the collection. Some focus on Island Voices specifically, while others draw on the work of the project as part of a wider topic or debate of local or more general interest.
